Given the general lameness and sameness that surrounds us daily in the form of popular music, culture and media, one must truly deem the near-mainstream success and acceptance incurred by Dirty Projectors as a minor miracle in an age of largely non-reason.

The boy-girl posse of players and singers led by scheming mad-man Dave Longstreth, who also happens to be a crafty singer, songwriter and musician to boot, continues to awe and amaze though seven records of art pop meets a capella vocal stylings meets R©B grooves and bumps.

Hot on the heels of last year's excellent and far-reaching Bitte Orca comes the seven song cycle concept album featuring their fan and friend Björk, Mount Wittenberg Orca, a digital-only release whose proceeds will go to the National Geographic Society (BTW not the first time they lend their name to a charity). Please use the Dirty Projectors' accomplishments as hope for future generations that all is not lost.
