If you’re not a clued-in Angelino, the moniker “HARD Tour” might leave you slightly puzzled. Hard rock? Hardcore punk? Perhaps a porn convention?
This summer, organizers decided the time was ripe to export their massive party know-how, so they’re hitting the road with a headliner you love to hate, and hate to love: moody electro-punkers Crystal Castles. A great opportunity to take in the duo’s latest shrieking melodies, but also to catch self-described “human bass tornado” Rusko in action. This whiz kid of dubstep (now signed to Mad Decent) ingeniously shakes off the genre’s dark funk with his upbeat, adventurous and still wonderfully wobbly sub-bass solutions.
